The “banality of evil” has been on display long before Hannah Arendt gave it a name in 1963. While we stand and witness this crime against humanity, shall we take a moment to remember Hannah Arendt was Jewish and she luckily escaped Nazi persecution in 1941. How is that we revert to this Jewish woman`s NewYorker articles while Israel the "Jewish state” now exterminates those it deems non humane, the parallels in ideology are haunting. But Israel is not a truly a Jewish state, it’s a Zionist occupying force, Zionists , and some of the must devote Zionists are Christians, Never forget that without supported by the faithful from the Church of England and Christians fundamentalist, Palestine would free today! Whatever plans the occupying regime has is irreverent, never forget that everything the regime does it does because it is the will of the Empire. Horrible beyond words. There are governments and institutions and individuals that have tried hard to stop it, but the rest will forever live in shame. And like you say, the messages I've received from those I support are messages of fear, resignation and farewell. Yet still, they ask us for our love and prayers for themselves and their children who are terrified and for the strength and courage to endure whatever is to come. May Allah's comfort and blessings be with them all.
Yemen is the only country that has actually done anything - a poor country itself not long out of war against the powerful (Saudi). I thought naively that other countries would DO something - but no. Politics and trade reigns supreme. Where is humanity - what has it become? How can we live with this?
