Just for the record: the Dutch government did not CHOOSE to stop its deliveries of weapons to the ongoing geocide in Palestine.
The Dutch government was subjected to a lawsuit from civl society, aiming to forced the Dutch government to stop. This was upheld in court. The Dutch government refused to comply and subsequently appealed the decision. I have not read any news on the result of that appeal.
And it is not clear that the Dutch government would actually STOP regardless of the appeals court decision. They made a statement that no one can verify and there is no public evidence that the exports to Israel have been halted by the Dutch government.
And that in itself is the biggest problem with the global industry of making money on selling weapons and ammunition: its murky and because it is subject to government-mandated secrecy, society has NO transparency over what is actually going on. Where there is no transparency , there is ZERO control by the electorate and the public over the transfer of weapons.
