I suggest that we supporters of Palestine also use the word ‘siege’ to describe what has been going on in Gaza for a year now. (In addition to genocide, murder, and infanticide).
I will use ‘siege’ on my poster today at the Gaza march in a neighboring city. It is a word that has been used by historians and other scholars to describe the most heinous acts of history, and the siege of Gaza is definitely in that category. I wish I knew how to post items on Wikipedia, etc., because I would title it “siege of Gaza: 2023-ongoing” etc., etc. but I’m a baby boomer and my IT skills are nil. I’m lucky to figure out Substack.

The first section of the article alone makes it already clear why the genocide supporter crew in the western government are obsessed about stamping out any anti-genocide protesters on October 7th 203: they need to suppress the blatant and abject shame that should result from any honest assessment or reflection of how deep they already were into supporting genocide and apartheid of Palestine already.
Truth is that already by October 6th 2024, the ICJ should had a genocide and apartheid finding in place. Both are crimes against humanity.
