I feel very sorry for the Israelis released. They will be harassed, abused, mentally bullied to come up with hate stories against the Palestinians which run counter to their experience. I am sure it was traumatic being a hostage but you can see they were well cared for and I imagine treated with far greater respect than the Israelis expected given their sadistic treatment of Palestinian hostages.

I wonder how many will experience severe mental illness trying to process the reality of their experiences with what their colleagues, family and Government propagandists tell them was their experience.

My hope is that they will emigrate with great speed out of toxic Israel and spread the message, the truth about their experience with Hamas, that only they can tell to the rest of the world. After all, unlike the Palestinians, they will be welcomed as Jews in every western country unless Israel puts them on their own very special black list. My fantasy is that they will come to the US and join Jewish Voices for Peace.

They will certainly be put on a Mossad hitlist so one can only hope they do migrate somewhere else, or go back to where they came from and receive psychiatric help to deprogramme them from the cult of Israel.

You have a point. I remember how they silenced the kibbutz people who saw the Israelis fire upon the cars and upon both israelis & Palestinians in their homes (Hannibal Directive). I hope these freed captives manage to leave "the strongest democracy in the world."

Yes those of us who have followed this from the start remember it all and are aware that most of the material has been disappeared.

Who are the savages…? we have seen time and again the state of Palestinian Detainees coming out of Israeli prisons, hardly able to stand, emanciated, versus those handed over by Hamas, looking healthy and well looked after, but, of course, this doesn’t play well to the Israeli propaganda machine. Now, Netanyahu has, unsurprisingly, defaulted on the ceasefire agreement of handing over Palestinian detainees, looking for any pathetic excuse to carry on his killing spree and genocide. Hamas has fulfilled and adhered to the ceasefire agreement and of course Israel has not!

Israel is a Death Cult, Hamas fights for basic human rights for Palestinians. The optics pan out accordingly.

It is heartbreaking to hear that the 600 Palestinian captives already on buses were forced to return to those dungeons, so close to release yet now not knowing if they will ever be released. Yet another twisted kind of torture. I pray Netanyahu works through his "humiliation" quickly or gets some very sharp prods from the mediators and releases these long suffering men and women. And to go on ahead and trash the hostages homes and "forbid" expressions of joy and celebration and any emotion whatsoever!!! Even their own Israeli captives emotions that they could not control enraged them! These are the ugliest and most perverse of so called "men."

"It is no wonder, then, that the Zionist state feels humiliated. It is just laying the blame on something else to hide its eternal shame."

I think you are right. The truth is there will never ever be an end to their pathological shame, they have gone too far into that darkness, selling their souls, and they will indeed carry that shame eternally. I think sometimes that their vicious determination to "break" the Palestinians comes from their envy and jealousy of an honorable, courageous and life loving people of faith who refuse to be broken.

And they know deep inside their bones that they will never be anywhere close to the Palestinians in their humanity and godliness.

Spot on, Liana. 100 percent this.

'Israel has “delayed” their freedom “until the release of the next hostages has been assured, and without the humiliating ceremonies”'

The levels of unfairness and double standards are unreal! And the only reason they're able to act with such insane impunity is because of the US's backing.

It's unfortunately the threat of pulling the US into a hot war that's keeping Palestine's allies from intervening more aggressively and protecting Palestinians.

How petulant and childish. But typical of narcisstic reactions. Egos are easily dented.

Hamas has unveiled to the world, even if mainstream media often overlooks or deliberately omits this truth, who the true embodiments of class and resilience are amid overwhelming adversity. In one of his impassioned tirades, Gallant vehemently declared that Hamas and the Palestinians are merely “animals,” echoing a narrative that seeks to dehumanize those who suffer. Meanwhile, Netanyahu perpetuates a daily barrage of misinformation, claiming that Hamas is violating peace treaties—a narrative that permeates through the halls of the Knesset, spewing lie after lie without accountability.

The stark contrast in treatment between Israeli hostages and Palestinian detainees cannot be ignored. Videos depicting the release of hostages reveal individuals who appear to be in good health and have been treated with respect—an image starkly juxtaposed with the condition of released Palestinians. Those individuals bear visible wounds and signs of torture, painting a grim picture that speaks volumes about their experiences. This discrepancy is not just anecdotal; it reflects a deeper, systemic issue regarding human rights violations. It’s crucial to understand that governments around the globe are not oblivious to these horrific injustices being perpetrated by Israel against the Palestinian people. However, there exists a troubling alliance among powerful oligarchs—the true decision-makers—who prioritize profit over humanity. The potential for lucrative military contracts or investments in glamorous resorts overshadows moral responsibility, leading them to turn a blind eye to ongoing atrocities.

We see the injustices being done against the Palestinians and feel an urgent call for action. Yet it’s not enough simply to be aware; hope lies in resilience and resistance. We must continue this fight with unwavering resolve—whether through public discourse aimed at raising awareness or through movements like BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions). It is imperative that we keep pushing back against oppression in all its forms until justice prevails for those who have long suffered under oppression's heavy hand.
