Resistance groups react to Israeli bombing in Beirut as all-out war with Hezbollah moves ever closer
The axis of resistance has made it clear that Israeli criminality wouldn't be possible without US support.
The genocidal Israelis just took another step in their imminent war against Hezbollah by flattening a building in an attempt to assassinate a senior Hezbollah official in the Dahiye suburb of southern Beirut. (It’s the same Beirut suburb which was bombed heavily and indiscriminately in the 2006 Hezbollah-Israel war thus lending its name to the grotesque Dahiye Doctrine. The doctrine is essentially a mass slaughter of civilians in a bid to force the population to act against the resistance. It has never worked. Israelis never learn.) The exact number of casualties from Tuesday’s attack is yet to be determined, but 3 deaths and over 70 injuries have been reported so far. Among the dead are two children and an elderly woman.
It remains unclear whether the Israelis succeeded in eliminating their target Fuad Shukr, (nom de guerre Hajj Mohsen) — the highest military figure in Hezbollah, longtime member, and a close associate of Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah.
However, the Israeli military has released a statement declaring that it has succeeded in killing Shukr:
The IDF announces today (Tuesday), July 30, 2024, that in a targeted, intelligence-based elimination, Israeli Air Force fighter jets eliminated the Hezbollah terrorist organization's most senior military commander and the head of its Strategic Unit, Fuad Shukr “Sayyid Muhsan”, in the area of Beirut. Fuad served as Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah’s right-hand man and was Nasrallah’s adviser for planning and directing wartime operations.
Nasrallah has repeatedly warned the Israelis against targeting resistance personnel inside the Lebanese territory, but his warnings have gone unheeded as the genocidal Zionists continue their assassination campaign against resistance figures.
In early January, they killed senior Hamas official Saleh al-Arouri. They killed top Hezbollah commanders Talib Samir Abdallah (nom de guerre Abu Talib) in June and Muhammad Nimah Nasser (nom de guerre Hajj Abu Naameh) in early July. All of these assassinations have seen Hezbollah retaliate by increasing the intensity and range of its attacks in northern Israel.
The latest Israeli assassination attempt — successful or not — in the Lebanese territory will most certainly elicit a similar response from Hezbollah and there is every chance of things escalating into an all-out war.
After Netanyahu’s visit to the United States, a former Israeli intelligence and security official Yuval Malka told Hebrew media that the US was on board with starting a full-scale war in Lebanon. The Cradle reported last week:
“According to the information I received from the delegation and what I know, Netanyahu has received full legitimacy in the United States to wage a war in Lebanon,” Malka told Israel’s Channel 14.
“When he arrives in the country, he is expected to head to the ‘Al-Bur’ in Al-Kiryah, and from there he will start the war in Lebanon,” he added, referring to a military complex that houses the headquarters of the Israeli army’s different corps.
Soon after Netanyahu’s return to Tel Aviv, there was what appears to be a false flag attack on Majdal Shams in occupied Golan Heights that Israelis claim to be their own territory. The attack on a soccer field killed 12 children whom the Israelis have claimed as their own — and as usual, the western media has ran with the Israeli narrative.
Notably, the Druze residents of Majdal Shams have refused Israeli citizenship as they consider themselves Syrian and want no part in the Zionist enterprise. When Netanyahu visited the inflicted families to weaponise their trauma for his war propaganda, the residents let the unwelcome visitor know what they think of him as they shouted: “Netanyahu, war criminal!” and “Netanyahu, son of a dog!”
They made it clear that they don’t want anything to do with the Israelis while using descriptors like “war criminal,” “terrorist,” and “bastard” for the Israeli prime minister. They expressed their desire to see him tried at the Hague.
Even the race-purist Israelis don’t count the Druze as fellow citizens of their racist state. When war minister Yoav Gallant was feigning concern for the families of the deceased, a news presenter was caught on hot mic saying, “They are not citizens of the state of Israel.” Unless they serve the purpose of launching more wars, that is.
Hezbollah denied attacking the soccer field in Majdal Shams and the reaction of the residents of the region shows that they believe Hezbollah more than the state that occupies them.
Now the attempted assassination of Shukr is only going to escalate the conflagrations as the war bugle screeches. The Zionists are not satisfied with the blood of nearly 200,000 Palestinians — who they have killed with bombs, bullets, starvation, disease, and blockade over the last ten months — and want more Arab lives to satisfy their seemingly insatiable blood lust.
These Israeli escalations come at the same time as the resistance in Iraq renewed its attack on US bases in their country after a brief lull during which the Americans promised to negotiate an exit from Iraq. But there have been no developments on that front as the American occupiers remain deeply entrenched in Baghdad, forcing the Iraqi resistance to take to arms again.
Earlier this month, the Ansarallah in Yemen attacked Tel Aviv and in turn were bombed by Israel when they unleashed America-supplied F-15s and F-35s on the Hodeidah port in the Red Sea.
Now, this latest act of Israeli barbarism has seen all members of the axis of resistance issue statements in support of Hezbollah and expressing their readiness to help their Lebanese ally whenever needed.
Significantly, all of them have made it clear that Israeli criminality wouldn’t be possible without US support.
Here’s what some of the major members of the axis of resistance said in the aftermath of the Israeli attack on Beirut.
Hamas:
We strongly condemn the brutal Zionist aggression against Lebanon and the brotherly Lebanese people, which targeted a Hezbollah headquarters in the southern suburb of Beirut, and resulted in the martyrdom and injury of a number of innocent citizens. We consider it a dangerous escalation for which the Nazi Zionist occupation bears full responsibility.
We declare our full solidarity with our brotherly Lebanon and our brothers in Hezbollah, and we affirm that the arrogance of the occupation and its attempt to restore its lost prestige and deterrence by committing more crimes in Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen and the Middle East will be nothing but an ill-considered adventure, for which the occupation will pay a heavy price, as the time in which the occupation runs rampant in our countries and our Arab region has ended.
In the face of this brutal aggression against Lebanon, we hold the US administration responsible for the crimes and ongoing violations of the occupation, through its continued open political and military support, which has tempted the occupation and the neo-Nazis to commit more foolishness and crimes that threaten peace and security throughout the Middle East.
We call on all the forces, components, and parties of the nation to unite and show solidarity with Lebanon, the brotherly Lebanese people and its valiant resistance that came out in defense of our oppressed Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. We also call on the international community and the United Nations to assume their legal and political responsibilities in stopping the genocide and ethnic cleansing against our people, and stopping the Zionist aggression against Lebanon and the Lebanese people on the path to ending the occupation of Palestine and our occupied Arab lands.

Ansarallah:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
We condemn and denounce in the strongest terms the Zionist aggression on the southern suburb of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, in a terrorist attack that deliberately targeted civilians and civilian facilities in violation of all international conventions and in flagrant breach of Lebanon's sovereignty and international humanitarian law.
This serious transgression comes after war criminal Netanyahu’s recent visit to the White House and the shameless and ridiculous applause within the US Congress supporting the genocidal crimes committed by the Zionist entity in occupied Palestine, making the Americans full partners in this crime.
While we affirm our solidarity with Lebanon and its resistance in confronting Zionist arrogance, we highly appreciate the significant role of Hezbollah in supporting the Palestinian people and standing up for their injustice, at a time when Arab regimes have abandoned their role and responsibility in defending the Palestinian people and confronting Israeli aggression crimes.
We also extend our sincerest condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims, and we pray to Allah Almighty for the swift recovery of the wounded. We renew our commitment to Palestine and its people, pledging that our support for our people and armed forces will continue until the Zionist aggression and arrogance in Gaza cease.

Al-Nujaba Movement - Islamic Resistance in Iraq:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
“Fight them; Allah will punish them by your hands and will disgrace them and give you victory over them and heal the hearts of a believing people.”
This is the Truth of Allah, the Most High, the Almighty.
Day after day, the Zionist enemy, the offspring of America, reveals its evil face and expresses its deep-seated hatred through cowardly attacks that target innocent people, children, and women, whether in Palestine, Lebanon, or Yemen. The exploitation by the criminal Zionists of the incident in the occupied Syrian Majdal Shams, where all evidence indicates that the Zionist defenses are behind it, is nothing but a desperate attempt by the Zionist entity to expand their circle of crimes and cover up their killing of children and civilians in Gaza. Their unjustified targeting of the southern suburb of Lebanon is another blatant aggression and foolishness they will regret.
Let the Zionist entity and its supporters from America of evil and the arrogant West know that the Islamic Resistance in Iraq is continuing its targeting of the usurping, occupying Zionist-American entity in support of our people in occupied Palestine. We also explicitly declare our readiness and full support for our brothers in Hezbollah, and indeed, Allah is capable of granting us victory.

Israel has carried out over 2,700 political assassinations with zero regard for national boundaries. Award-winning Mossad stenographer Ronen Bergman (who also writes for the bastion of truth, The New York Times), in his book Rise and Kill First: The Secret History of Israel’s Targeted Assassinations, writes: “Since World War II, Israel has assassinated more people than any other country in the Western world.” One commentator has termed the Zionist state “the most voracious assassination machine in history.”
In the second month of the ongoing genocide in Gaza, Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar explicitly stated Israel’s desire to kill Palestinian resistance leaders “in every location, in Gaza, in the West Bank, in Lebanon, in Turkey, in Qatar, everyone. It will take a few years, but we will be there in order to do it.”
Not that the Zionists needed an invitation, but Hezbollah’s support for the Palestinian resistance has exposed its leadership as well to Israeli barbarism.
It’s worth noting that assassination attempts have never made an iota of a difference to the resistance over the decades. The clearest indication of this is the way the resistance has grown strong despite thousands of assassinations throughout history. While it took the Israelis all of six days to capture vast swathes of Arab land in 1967, they haven’t been able to take the tiny Gaza Strip after ten months of fighting, as Palestinian resistance inside Gaza continues to scorch their tanks and genocidal men.
All the major resistance groups are structured in a way that they work without the need of a centralised leadership and retain their abilities even when their leaders are eliminated.
Most importantly, the resistance groups represent their people. The Lebanese people have certainly retained their backing of the Palestinian cause despite being at the receiving end of Israeli terrorism.
Soon after Tuesday’s bombing, the brave Lebanese were out in the streets of Dahiye, expressing their support for the besieged Palestinians.
They chanted: “We are here O Aqsa! We are here O Aqsa.”
One Lebanese came out with a placard that read: “We will not abandon Palestine.”
All that the latest assassination attempt is likely to do is bring the world closer to a major war and the prospects of the Israeli state coming out with anything good from such a conflagration aren’t all that bright.
P.S.: In the middle of writing this article, Israelis killed Hamas’s political chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. As this article makes clear that these vile acts won’t impact the resistance’s operations much as they remain robust despite assassinations. However, the fact that the Israelis committed this crime on Iranian soil can have serious consequences. More on that later.

RIP Ismail Haniyeh.
Sounds exactly like what the Brits used to do in the North of Ireland years ago trying to turn the people against the inla and Ira and it totally backfired on them so badly that 8 year old children were out there throwing Molotov cocktails at the filthy rotten Brits.
