Escalating their war on the most vulnerable, the Israelis killed three children within the span of an hour in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday.
Two children were killed during an Israeli special forces infiltration into Gaza in what is believed to be an assassination or abduction operation. The Palestinian resistance personnel confronted the infiltrating Israelis, which prompted over a dozen missile and drone strikes by the Israelis to rescue their invading forces.
The Israeli attacks, despite Trump’s “ceasefire” of October last year, killed three Palestinians, including two children and a woman. Eight others were injured in the Israeli strikes on the Al-Katiba area.
The attacks could have led to a much higher number of casualties, as a school in the area with more than 200 children was in progress at the time of the Israeli strikes.
Palestinian teacher Doaah Qudeih filmed the moment she had to evacuate the school with the panic-stricken children, who have endured nearly three years of ongoing genocide without respite, during the Israeli strikes on Gaza City. She titled the video War on Children on her Instagram account.
“What war is over?” Doaah says in the video.
“What war is over?
“I have more than a hundred children here, and they are now in the kindergarten. We were all evacuated from the place under bombardment. So what war is over?
“Just now, we evacuated the school we were staying in — supposedly what they call the safest place in Gaza. Now, the children and I have been evacuated from the place where we were staying. What war is over?
“Children — children who want to live in peace and safety. They came to learn. They came to learn, and this is what happens to us: bombs, explosives, and gunfire…”
In another attack reported by Quds News Network, a child named Esraa El-Hessi was killed by Israeli gunfire after Israeli forces stationed behind the so-called yellow line opened intensive fire on homes and tents east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.
Israeli war on children
Deliberate targeting of Palestinian children has been the hallmark of the Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip for the past three years.
The Israelis have slaughtered more than 21,000 children since October 7. Another 43,000 have been wounded. According to UNICEF, more than 56,000 children in Gaza have lost one or both parents due to Israeli barbarism over the past three years.
In June, a UN report titled “The essence of childhood has been destroyed”: Israel’s deliberate targeting of Palestinian children in the Occupied Palestinian Territory since 7 October 2023 stated that the Israelis had deliberately and systematically targeted children in Gaza:
The Commission has investigated and documented cases demonstrating a consistent pattern of children being deliberately targeted by the Israeli security forces in Gaza. These include cases of children being shot while trying to evacuate with their families and in places of refuge such as displacement camps, food distribution sites or other locations across Gaza.
The report also described how the Israelis had gone about making Gaza hell for children:
Israel has targeted Palestinian children in Gaza in two distinct ways: directly by shooting at their vital organs using precision weapons such as quadcopters and snipers; and through use of high impact weapons causing widespread and systematic attacks on residential buildings, schools, and displacement camps crowded with children.
No respite during the ceasefire
As teacher Doaah reiterated, the Israeli war on Gaza never stopped despite the so-called ceasefire. A UNICEF report last month revealed that the Israelis had killed one child every day in Gaza since the start of the “ceasefire.”
“A ceasefire that leaves an average of one child dead each and every day is failing children,” UNICEF official Edouard Beigbeder said at the time. “With hundreds more children injured, many severely, children in Gaza are still waiting for the end to the violence they were promised.”
Notwithstanding the vacuous pronouncements of a supposed ceasefire and the mutual back-patting between the Israelis and their Western backers, children in Gaza have had no respite from Western-funded Israeli depravity. Israel’s complete chokehold on the besieged enclave has forced Palestinian children to shoulder responsibilities far beyond their years. And even if they manage to go to school, there is no guarantee they will make it safely back home.

UNICEF. Yet another failed UN agency under the repressive thumb of the Fascist Western criminals, also well-illustrated by the de-monetization of Francesca Albanese by the Trump-tards. This almost-paradox that the West has its financial center in NYC powering, through the BlackRocks et al. the US Israeli war machine murdering Palestine.
