How Iran stripped Israel naked before firing a single shot
The false bravado of the Zionist regime has been laid bare as it has ran helter-skelter to dissuade Iranian response since the bombing of its Damascus embassy.
The much-awaited Iranian response to Israel’s unprecedented criminal conduct in Damascus has finally come to pass. On late Saturday night, Iran launched hundreds of missiles and suicide drones on multiple military targets of the usurping Zionist entity, achieving many hits despite the best efforts of its famed Iron Dome and ready help in intercepting the Iranian swarm by the United States, the United Kingdom, and their many vassals in the Israeli neighbourhood.
The resulting footage from the much-needed Iranian response showed illegal settlers on historic Palestinian lands scurrying for shelters amid incoherent shouting and much crying: sights they have become accustomed to inflicting — and enjoying from atop the hills with snacks and beverages at hand — on poor Palestinians over the past 75 years of their criminal colony’s existence. Six months and 33,000 dead Palestinians later, a vast majority of Israelis still overwhelmingly support the genocide of the innocents in Gaza.
It must be stated: the Iranians didn’t target civilians — as no entity should.
The Israelis saw the Iranian response coming. It was only a matter of when and how. Will the Iranians attack via their proxies in other countries or will they go direct? The Israelis — having killed a top Iranian military official, Mohammad Reza Zahedi, and six others with him in an April 1 attack on the the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Syria — soon realised they had bitten more than they could chew. They never claimed direct responsibility for their attack and their benevolent Uncle Sam quickly distanced himself from any knowledge of the attack from its genocidal nephew ever-willing to start new fires safe in the knowledge that Uncle Sam and Dear Old Blighty, now battling dotage, will be at the ready to fight said fires on their behalf.
It’s important to put the Israeli attack on the Iranian embassy in perspective. Never has a country attacked another nation’s embassy in a foreign state. To put simply, it is unprecedented. It is criminality unique to the Israelis. Embassies are considered sovereign territory. It is the reason why the UK couldn’t force its way into the Ecuadorian embassy in London to get to Julian Assange during the seven years he took refuge there. Attacking embassies is akin to attacking sovereign territory. When the United States bombed the Chinese embassy in Belgrade during the NATO campaign in Yugoslavia in 1999, Bill Clinton apologised for it and called it an “accident.” The US ended up compensating the families of the three Chinese journalists killed in the attack and paid for the damages to the embassy.
But rules don’t apply to the Zionist state — if the events in Palestine over the last six months in particular haven’t made it abundantly clear to anyone still doubting.
The Damascus attack thus set into motion a series of events that have shined a harsh spotlight on the misplaced bravado of the criminal Zionists. Quickly realising they had bitten more than they could chew, and anticipating Iranian retaliation, but not sure where and how, the Zionists promptly suspended operations at 28 of its embassies, put them on high alert, and requested ambassadors to avoid public events.
Further, Israeli army cancelled leaves of all its personnel in anticipation of Iranian response.
The US, too, was scared at the intransigence of its favourite ally. Fearing Iranian reprisals on its own personnel and facilities for the actions of the barbaric Zionist regime for which the US seemingly has no red line, it issued another statement through White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on April 12 distancing itself from the criminal Israeli act. “We communicated to Iran that the US had no involvement in the strike that happened in Damascus and we have warned Iran not to use this attack as a pretext to escalate further in the region or to attack US facilities or personnel.”
Moreover, a Kuwaiti media outlet reported about unnamed US officials’ contact with authorities in Tehran via Swiss mediators, asking the Islamic Republic not to retaliate. In return, the US were to persuade Israel to stop its attacks inside Lebanon and Syria. But not attacking Syria was out of question for Netanyahu. The deal was rejected.
But the US wasn’t done worrying on behalf of its barbaric ally. Joe Biden emphasised how deeply his country was in bed with the Israelis. “Our commitment to Israel’s security against these threats from Iran and its proxies is ironclad,” he announced from the White House. “Let me say it again: ironclad.”
The US also approached Iran’s allies in the region and requested them to dissuade the Iranians from retaliating. According to a TRT report:
Blinken spoke by telephone over the past day to his Chinese, Turkish, Saudi and European counterparts “to make clear that escalation is not in anyone’s interest and that countries should urge Iran not to escalate,” State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller told reporters on Thursday [April 11].
Ultimately, the United States sent more warships to the Middle East to safeguard its interests. “We are moving additional assets to the region to bolster regional deterrence efforts and increase force protection for U.S. forces,” the Washington Post quoted an official as saying on April 13.
But it wasn’t only the Israeli political brass that was running helter-skelter fearful of the Iranian response.
There were also the totally detached-from-reality posts from Israeli citizens, implying that the Iranians were about to attack Israel for absolutely no reason. Sample this:
Perhaps Dickson should spare a thought for the children of the seven Iranian officials massacred in their Damascus office who will never see their father again. But then how will he the Zionist propagandists be able to paint the Iranian response as totally unprovoked if they put some context to its very legitimate action?
From the Damascus attack until the eventual Iranian retaliation on April 14, just the prospect of the Iranian response sent the Israelis in a frenzy, making clear to the whole world the hollowness of its falsely-touted invincibility — if it still remained intact in anyone’s mind after Palestinian resistance’s October 7 military act. The Iranians effectively stripped Tel Aviv naked before they even fired a single shot.
The events between April 1 and 14 further emphasised the point that Hizbullah chief Hasan Nasrallah once made about the Zionist entity being “weaker than a spider web.”
Finally, the Iranian response
While the Damascus attack was the most brazen, the Israelis have been targeting Iranian assets and personnel in Syria continuously since October 7.
Looking further back in recent history reveals many assassinations of Iranian scientists — which are then glamorously covered by the US-Israeli propaganda rag, The New York Times. Then there was the killing of Qasem Soleimani. Although the US pulled the trigger, the Israelis played a huge part in the assassination of the top Iranian general in 2020.
If anything, the Iranians have shown incredible restraint, having considered all options and prioritising de-escalation before taking the military route.
In the immediate aftermath of the Damascus bombing, an Iranian representative at the UN, Zahra Ershadi, made clear that the Israeli attack was brazenly criminal. “This crime bluntly breaches the fundamental principle of diplomatic and consular immunity and flagrantly violated the 1961 Convention on Diplomatic Relations, the 1963 Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, and the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Crimes Against Internationally Protected Persons, including Diplomatic Agents of 1973,” Ershadi said.
And when the Iranians finally responded, they informed the UN that its actions are within the bounds of law and they don’t intend to go any further:
This action was in the exercise of Iran's inherent right to self-defense as outlined in Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, and in response to the Israeli recurring military aggressions, particularly its armed attack on 1st April 2024 against Iranian diplomatic premises, in the defiance of Article 2 (4) of the Charter of the United Nations.
Regrettably, the United Nations Security Council has failed in its duty to maintain international peace and security, allowing the Israeli regime to transgress red lines and violate the fundamental principles of international law. Such violations have exacerbated tensions in the region and threatened regional and international peace and security.
As a responsible Member of the United Nations, the Islamic Republic of Iran is committed to the purposes and principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, and international law, and reiterates its consistent position that it does not seek escalation or conflict in the region.
While warning about any further military provocations by the Israeli regime, the Islamic Republic of Iran reaffirms its unwavering determination to defend its people, national security and interests, sovereignty, and territorial integrity against any threat or acts of aggression and to respond to any such threat or aggressions vigorously and in accordance with international law.
The Iranians have exercised their right to self defence (unless that applies only to the criminal Zionist state) with their retaliatory strikes. It has made clear its plan not to escalate things further. Now the ball is in the Israeli court. The Zionist regime should go back to the drawing board with its tail firmly tucked between its legs and, ideally, rethink its entire criminal existence from 1948 until now.
But knowing the genocidal nature of the Zionist enterprise, what happens from here is anyone’s guess.
