The point I was making is that the histories of several regions in Saudi (and Yemen) go back many centuries and have been significant for multiple reasons in medieval and even ancient past, but countries like Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, and Kuwait were for the most part historically insignificant hence my description of them as artificial constructs.
