"Beheaded babies": Why Joe Biden can't stop lying for Israel's genocide in Gaza
Joe Biden has a despicable history of perpetually lying and supporting the industrial-scale slaughter of innocent people all around the world. The self-proclaimed Zionist isn't stopping now.
Having earlier lied about the debunked Israeli propaganda of Palestinian resistance fighters “beheading babies” on October 7, only for the White House to walk back on his pronouncement, US President Joe Biden has done it again.
On November 15, Biden declared: “Hamas has already said publicly that they plan on attacking Israel again like they did before, cutting babies’ heads off, burning women and children alive,” reviving a falsehood he spouted last month about seeing images of “beheaded babies.”
Last month, when Israelis began their genocidal campaign in Gaza, Biden had peddled their propaganda. “I never really thought that I would see, have confirmed, pictures of terrorists beheading children,” he said back then.
But a report in the Washington Post soon made clear that Biden had seen no such photo and was, in fact, lying. “A White House spokesperson later clarified that US officials and the president have not seen pictures or confirmed such reports independently,” the paper reported.
Biden was lying then. Biden is lying now.
It is stunning that for someone who ostensibly cares so much for children, Biden has nothing to say about the Israelis besieging Gaza’s largest hospital that has put at risk the lives of 39 premature babies in incubators fighting for life in the absence of oxygen and fuel supplies cut off by the Israeli Occupation Forces.
A habitual liar
Biden’s lies have had extreme consequences for the besieged Palestinians in Gaza. The Israeli extermination campaign in Gaza — which has been aided and abetted by the US and its Western allies through financial and military support — has claimed well over 11,000 innocent Palestinian lives, nearly half of them children.
Other than financial funding and supply of weaponry, the American government and mass media have enabled the Israeli atrocities by pushing propaganda to fuel Israel’s genocidal campaign in Gaza despite protests worldwide calling for an immediate halt to the mass slaughter of Gazans.
Nevertheless, Biden has been strident in his opposition to a ceasefire.
In fact, when asked about the possibility of a ceasefire in Gaza, Biden was adamant: “None, no possibility.” After making the heartless remark, Biden broke into a shameless jig.
The little dance was a perfect illustration of the 80-year-old’s mental state as well as his sheer callousness in aiding and abetting another mass murder in a long career of aiding and abetting mass murders all over the world.
He has a special fondness for helping the Zionist state massacre the indigenous Palestinians.
In June 1986, he declared: “It’s about time we stop apologising for our support for Israel. It is the best $3 billion investment we make. If there weren’t an Israel, the United States of America would have to invent an Israel to protect her interests in the region.”
It’s a belief he has repeated numerous times since.
Biden in March 2007: “You know, I used to say early on when I was a kid when I was a young Senator, I would say, if I were a Jew, I would be a Zionist. You don’t have to be a Jew to be a Zionist. I am a Zionist. You don’t have to be a Jew to be a Zionist.”
As the Israelis continue their carpet bombing Gaza, destroying everything in their wake, including hospitals, schools, mosques, churches, housing units, refugee camps, bakeries, and civilian infrastructure, Biden persists in making excuses for them.
“It is not carpet bombing,” he pronounced recently. “This is a different thing.”
He didn’t specify what the “different thing,” was but to everyone following the developments in Gaza, it looks indistinguishable from a genocide.
Biden’s depravity that even Begin, the terrorist, couldn’t get behind
Biden has always been a depraved warmonger, a warmonger so depraved that even a terrorist like Menachem Begin couldn’t get behind Biden — when, as a young Senator, he advocated for the killing of women and children in Lebanon.
Consider this tract from a 2020 The Times of Israel article:
In June 1982, a few days after the start of the Lebanon War, known as Operation Peace for the Galilee, Begin met with the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in Washington. Several lawmakers grilled him over Israel’s alleged disproportionate use of force.
“A young senator rose and delivered a very impassioned speech — I must say that it’s been a while since I’ve heard such a talented speaker — and he actually supported Operation Peace for the Galilee,” Begin told Israeli reporters after he returned to Jerusalem.
The senator — Biden — said he would go even further than Israel, adding that he’d forcefully fend off anyone who sought to invade his country, even if that meant killing women or children.
“I disassociated myself from these remarks,” Begin said. “I said to him: No, sir; attention must be paid. According to our values, it is forbidden to hurt women and children, even in war… Sometimes there are casualties among the civilian population as well. But it is forbidden to aspire to this. This is a yardstick of human civilization, not to hurt civilians.”
Begin was described by the British as the “well-known former leader of the notorious terrorist organisation Irgun” and denied a British visa until 1972 — 5 years before he became the Prime Minister of Israel.
(Notably, many members of the terror outfit Irgun were absorbed into the Israel Defence Forces (IDF), whose core comprised another Zionist terrorist organization Haganah. That’s an explanation for the continuing terrorist activities perpetrated by the IDF under the cloak of a legitimate army.)
The British security agency MI5 further said of Begin’s visa application: “If there is any likelihood of Begin being admitted to the United Kingdom, we consider that Special Branch [security service] should be informed immediately since the security responsibility for the Jewish terrorists in the United Kingdom rests with them.”
Biden’s depravity exceeded that of a proscribed terrorist.
Saddam must go, Assad must go, Putin must go
But then Biden has never seen a war he won’t support. From the arming and funding of Ukrainians in their fight against Russia to the invasion of Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria, Biden’s support for the industrial-scale slaughter of people across the globe has been unequivocal.
In fact, as has been well documented, Biden was among the key American politicians who set the narrative for American intervention and the subsequent decimation of Iraq on the frivolous and baseless charges of Saddam Hussein possessing weapons of mass destruction (WMDs). As this Daily Beast story states, “Biden didn’t just vote to authorise the Iraq war for ‘peace and security.’ He got it wrong at every stage, from invasion to occupation to a withdrawal that led to ISIS’ rise.”
But true to his penchant for consistent lying, when the failure of the Iraq war hung as an albatross around his neck before his presidential bid in 2020, Biden attempted to portray himself as an opponent of the Iraq war. In September 2019, in an interview with NPR, he lied again: “Immediately, the moment it started, I came out against the [Iraq] war at that moment.”
Biden had been lying about the nonexistent Iraqi WMDs 5 years before the American invasion because that illegal invasion was never about Iraq’s weapons capabilities.
According to a report in The Intercept: “In fact, as Biden had said in 1998, he believed not only that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, but no amount of inspections or diplomacy could guarantee their removal. That, he told [UN weapons inspector Scott] Ritter, could only be done by “guys like you in uniform to be back on foot in the desert taking this son of a — taking Saddam down.”
In true American presidential fashion, Biden has advocated for a regime change in every country that doesn’t do things as America wants it to do.
Eleven years after President Barack Obama, who won the Nobel Peace Prize before going on to bomb 7 countries, announced: “For the sake of the Syrian people, the time has come for [Syria] President [Bashar al-] Assad to step aside,” Biden continues to dream of Assad’s ouster.
Similarly, in the early days of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Biden was fervent in his desire to see the back of Russian President Vladimir Putin. “For God's sake, this man cannot remain in power,” Biden blared in March 2022. Putin remains in power.
Given his record of supporting any and every American intervention abroad, one can be sure Biden will do all within his means to help the Israelis see their genocide in Gaza through to completion.
